Mark has over 25 years of trucking experience. He has hauled freight, grain, equipment, and anhydrous, in a variety of different trucks, with various arrangements of gears.
After deciding to change a few gears of his own, Mark started instructing those new and old in the transportation business, and has been teaching Class 1A truck training for 4 years.
His funny, joking demeanor keeps the mood light, and his patience and empathy keep you calm while learning. He uses his passion of putting better drivers on the road to guide his students into learning more so they are well prepared for the world of trucking. Mark will have you driving like a professional.

We believe that quality truck driver training should be accessible to everyone. We provide SGI's Class 1A truck training MELT program for $14,000, with taxes, full tests, and one retest (if needed) included in that price. No hidden costs.

To be eligible to take SGI's MELT program drivers must:
-be at least 18 years of age
-be a Saskatchewan resident
-complete a SGI medical (see commercial driver's handbook)
-Hold a non-graduated Class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license
-Have a Class 1 learners (class 1 endorsement)
To upgrade your class 5 driver's license you need to :
-meet SGI's requirements to permit you to apply
-pass a basic Knowledge exam, the sign exam, a vision test, all endorsement exams Class 1 and under, and a written air exam.
SGI's MELT program will take place in classroom, in yard, and in truck. The minimum requirements for hours set out by SGI in each environment are as follows:
47 hours in class
17.5 hours in yard
57 hours in truck, behind the wheel.
